Response to Shamsi Confronting Bilal the Apostate at Speakers Corner

In responding to the recent video of Shamsi confronting Bilal, a revert that who has become an apostate.

I will first acknowledge that extremism in Islam can indeed lead someone to apostasy. This is evident in the case of the Khawarij, who the Prophet (saw) described as people who would “leave the religion faster than an arrow leaves its target.” However, it is important to distinguish between the traits of the Khawarij and their fundamental beliefs (Usool) that define the group.

For example, while the Prophet (saw) described the Khawarij as having specific outward traits—like a marked devotion to worship (such as their prominent prayer marks)—their internal beliefs and actions, particularly their tendency to declare Muslims who commit major sins as apostates (takfir), set them apart.

The Messenger of Allah said: Your prayer does not compare to their prayer, nor does your fasting compare to their fasting, nor does your recitation compare to their recitation (Muslim). And in another narration, he said: You will slight your prayers in comparison to theirs (Bukhari and Muslim)

The Khawarij believed that emaan (faith) was static and could neither increase nor decrease. This view was not consistent with mainstream Islamic beliefs, where faith can fluctuate based on actions, repentance, and adherence to the faith.

It’s also essential to note that the Prophet’s description of the Khawarij doesn’t equate to automatically declaring someone who makes a mistake, such as drinking alcohol, to be an apostate. The Khawarij were extreme in making takfir on individuals over sins that do not constitute kufr, while committing major shirk or kufr (like insulting the Messenger of Allah or ruling by laws other than Allah’s) is clearly grounds for takfir in Islam.

It is important to note that Shamsi and others like him have redefined the concept of Khariji, shifting away from the traditional understanding of the Khawarij as defined by the salaf. Instead, they now categorize anyone who criticizes the misguided rulers of today, even if these rulers have clearly fallen into disbelief, as Khawarij.

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The master of the martyrs on the Day of Resurrection is Hamzah ibn ‘Abdul Muttalib, and a man who stands up to a tyrannical leader, prohibiting him from evil and enjoining good upon him, and he is killed for it.” Source: al-Mu’jam al-Awsaṭ lil-Ṭabarānī 4079

Shamsi’s Contradictions:

In the video at hand, ‘Ahmed Musa Jibril’s Follower Apostates ! | Shamsi Speakers Corner’ – Shamsi (may Allah silence him) uses Bilal, an apostate, to argue that those who he considers “Khawarij” are wrong. What Shamsi is trying to do here is say , since Bilal has now become an apostate, that is a proof  I was right, he implies that the Murjiah and Madakhilah must be upon the truth, because ‘Bilal’ apostated. This seems to be a contradiction: if the apostasy of Bilal is proof against the opponents of Shamsi, ‘the Khawarij’, then by the same token, the apostasy and errors of the Murjiah and Madakhilah should also serve as evidence against them.

Moreover, Shamsi calls out Shaykh Ahmed Musa Jibril by name, labelling him as a “Khariji” and accusing him of leading followers astray. If Shamsi is using Bilal’s apostasy as evidence to attack the ‘Khawarij’, then as already stated, why doesn’t the same reasoning apply to the Murjiah or Madakhilah? Shamsi’s own inconsistent logic raises questions about his stance. One only needs to look into the Muslim world and see clearly the actions of the apostate governments and their dealing with the enemies of Allah (swt) and their fighting against the Muwahideen, their acceptance of the Abrahamic accords and normalisation with Israel and say, well this is the outcome of irjah, so the blame must be paced on the shoulders of the palace scholars who issue verdicts for such rulers, and thus one must come to an honest conclusion that it is a proof that they, these scholars by virtue of the Arab leaders faults and sins, are a proof of their deviance and the flawedness of the madkhali movement and its followers at large.

Shamsi’s Treatment of Non-Muslims:

Another concerning point in the video is Shamsi’s interactions with non-Muslims, especially his treatment of the kuffar (disbelievers). Despite calling himself a follower of the Qur’an and Sunnah, Shamsi repeatedly refers to the kuffar as “brothers,” engaging with them in a manner that appears overly friendly—laughing, joking, and showing warmth even with someone who has left the faith. This stands in stark contrast to how he behaves towards Muslims he opposes, where his harshness is evident, The title of this video alone is a proof of that.

Shamsi has clearly displayed authentic characteristics of the Khawarij, without even knowing it.

The Messenger of Allah said: They (Khawarij) kill the Muslims and spare the idolaters. If I live to see them I will kill them like the killing of (the people of ‘Aad). (Bukhari and Muslim)

The Qur’an teaches us that it is the believers who are brothers to one another, and we are instructed to be harsh toward the disbelievers while showing mercy to fellow Muslims.

“Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. And those with him are firm with the disbelievers and compassionate with one another…” Quran 48:29

Shamsis behaviour seems to reverse this principle allying again closer to the attitude of the Khawarij, who were harsh on the believers yet easy on the disbelievers—he shows more leniency to the disbelievers and apostates, while being harsh toward Muslims who disagree with him. This contradiction is not in line with the teachings of Islam.

Islamic Position on Apostasy:

It is crucial to understand that Islam has a clear stance on apostasy. There is no need to deflect or hide behind biblical texts to avoid addressing the issue of apostasy in Islam.

The Shariah has provided us with explicit rulings on this matter, and these rulings are not up for reinterpretation based on personal biases or external influences. Allah says in the Qur’an, “O you who believe! Fear Allah and speak the truth” (Quran 33:70), and we must stand firm in our commitment to the truth, regardless of the pressures around us!

Justice in Islam vs. Biblical Commands:

One final point of reflection is Shamsi’s reaction to the biblical command in 1 Samuel 15:3, where the Israelites are instructed to kill the Amalekites, including men, women, children, and infants, due to the sins of previous generations. Shamsi criticizes this command, arguing that it is unjust to punish innocent children for the sins of their ancestors. He cites the Qur’anic verse from Surah Al-Fatr (18), which states, “No soul will bear the burden of another,” to highlight the fairness of Islamic justice.

However, in his confrontation with Bilal, Shamsi seems to ignore this principle of justice. By using Bilal’s apostasy as a way to attack others, he indirectly contradicts his own position on justice and mercy, as outlined in the Qur’an. If Bilal’s apostasy is used as proof of the extremism of the Khawarij, then perhaps Shamsi’s actions reveal more alignment with the unjust commands of the Old Testament, rather than with the Quranic principles of justice and mercy.

Conclusion:

Ultimately, Shamsi’s selective application of Islamic principles raises significant concerns. His behaviour toward apostates, non-Muslims, and fellow Muslims

contradicts the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. As believers, we are called to be consistent in our application of Islamic principles, and we must always speak the truth, regardless of the situation or the individuals involved.

May Allah guide us all to the straight path, and may He grant us the wisdom to uphold justice and truth in our actions.

DOUBLE STANDARDS: A TRAIT ADOPTED FROM THE WEST

There’s a growing push for a Sunni-Shia unity under the pretext of victory for Gaza.

With some so blinded they are willing to set aside creedal differences for this cause.

This strikes me as hypocritical.

Let’s rewind to when ISIS was fighting on two fronts: against the Western coalition and Arab armies on one front and against the Syrian and Iraqi regimes on another.

Back then, and even today many of the same individuals calling for a Sunni-Shia alliance were amongst the loudest vioces against ISIS, pedalling the stances of the west and the Tawagheet against them!

What happened to putting aside differences then?

These advocates today lack understanding, foresight, and, most importantly, consistency.

I challenge anyone of them to say openly, “We should put aside creedal differences when dealing with the likes of Al-Qaeda or ISIS if it is to achieve victory in Iraq, Syria, and Gaza!”

By your standard and insight, It would be better to ally with the “khawarij” becuase the objective is victory, no matter who we ally with.

But you will never say that, because you are driven by desire not the truth, and you are not consistent, that is why you push us to join hands with the Mushrikeen Shiaa/Rafidhah those who claim the Quran is changed and incomplete, who accuse Aisha(ra) of zina, and assert that all the Sahabah apostated.

If the issue is that of extremism, than there is nothing more extremism than the ideas of the Shiaa, if it’s about “terrorism” than likewise Iran is looked at as a Terrorist state, founding terror organisation the likes of your Sayyid and Hezbulaat, again consistency.

The ‘Khawarij’ are known for many things, one of those is they refuse to lie as they see it as major sin, but you want to believe the Shiaa today knowing very well lying (taqiyah) is a foundemental part of their faith…

“Have they not travelled throughout the land so their hearts may reason, and their ears may listen? Indeed, it is not the eyes that are blind, but it is the hearts in the chests that grow blind” (Quran 22:46)

Victory comes from Allah (swt) not from ourselves, we just have to follow Allah’s orders and the Sunnah of His Messenger (saw) without compromise, only then will Victory be attained!

So be consistent.

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

OPEN LETTER TO THE SHIAA AND A REMINDER TO THE BLIND

Look at the history of your treachery. You assassinated Umar (ra) at the hands of Abu Looloa al Majusi and Uthman (ra) with the aid of the Khawarij…

Your forefather was no other than Abdullah ibn Sabaa (Al Nawbakhty, p: 44)

You backstabbed Hussien (ra) and left him for dead at Karbala after you said you would protect him…

You worked with the Mongals to defeat the Abbasid Khalifa, with the aid of the Shiaa Ibnul Alquami…

Your Safawiyet State (905-930) killed ahlul sunnah in Iran, working with the English and Portuguese to achieve this..

You stood with the Crusaders against Salahudeen. This is why he fought your Fatimid state before the Crusaders…

You fought against the Ottoman empire and carried out assassinations and betrayal…

You were exposed in Lebanon, sided with the Christians, and fought the Sunnis (1975-80)

You allied with the Americans in Iraq (2003) and killed Ahlul Sunnah…

You fought alongside Bashaar the Kalb in Syria, starved and slaughtered ahluls sunnah in syria… #madayah #zabadani #aleppo

You worked side by side with the Americans and western coalition in syria to fight the Mujāhideen….

“Syria is our road to Al quds” (Hassan Nasrallah)

You couldn’t even avenge the Iranian commander Soliemani (droned 2020), nor did you find the killers of the Iranian PM…

You betrayed Ismail Haniyyah from Hamas and fed him to the Zionists. You could not even provide him safety in your “Islamic Republic”

You distributed pagers to Hezbollah, sent from Iran, that were only to be used as a weapon to track and kill its members….

Your PM of Iran meets with the U.S. and calls them BROTHERS…

Then your Sayyid gets killed…….

Your betrayal of Islam, the Sunnis, and your own kind is well documented

SO DONT BLAME A PEOPLE WHO SEE THROUGH YOUR LIES AND TAKE JOY IN YOUR DEAD, KNOWING THEY CAN NEVER PERSECUTE THE MUSLIMS AGAIN!!!

REACTION TO THE DEATH OF AN EVIL PERSON

The demise of a wicked person is cause for joy and a source of relief for the Muslim Ummah

Narrated Abū Qatādah raḍhiyallāhu ’anhu:

“We were sitting with the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ when a funeral procession passed by.

The Messenger of Allāh said:
((مُسْتَرِيحٌ وَمُسْتَرَاحٌ مِنْهُ))
“One is relieved and another others are relieved from.”

When asked what he meant by these words he ﷺ replied:
((الْعَبْدُ الْمُؤْمِنُ يَسْتَرِيحُ مِنْ نَصَبِ الدُّنْيَا وَأَذَاهَا إِلَى رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ وَالْعَبْدُ الْفَاجِرُ يستريح مِنْهُ الْعباد والبلاد وَالشَّجر وَالدَّوَاب))
“A believer is relieved (by death) from the troubles and hardships of the world and leaves for the Mercy of Allāh, while (the death of) a wicked person relieves the people, the land, the trees, (and) the animals from him.”

[Reported by Bukhāri and Muslim]

____

It was said to Imām Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal, may Allāh have mercy on him: “If a man rejoices at what befalls the companions of Ibn Abi Du’ād, is there any sin upon him for that?” He, may Allāh have mercy on him, replied:
ومَن لا يَفرَحُ بهذا؟!
“And who would not rejoice at that!?”
السنة للخلال ( ١٧٦٩)

_

Imam Ibn Kathīr, may Allāh have mercy on him, said in the events of the year 568 AH regarding Al-Ḥasan ibn Ṣāfi Yazdin At-Turki:

“He was one of the great commanders of Baghdad who held significant influence over the state, but he was a vile Rāfḍhi, deeply prejudiced in favour of the Rawāfiḍh. They were under his protection and influence until Allāh relieved the Muslims from him in this year, in the month of Dhul Ḥijjah. He was buried in his home, then later transferred to the Cemeteries of Quraysh. All praise and thanks be to Allāh. When he died, the people of Ahlus-Sunnah rejoiced greatly at his death, and they openly expressed their gratitude to Allāh. You would not find a single one of them except that he praised Allāh.”

The permissibility of performing the prostration of gratitude upon the death of tyrants and leaders of disbelief

سجد أبو بكر رضي الله عنه شكرا حين جاءه خبر قتل مسيلمة الكذاب. وسجد علي رضي الله عنه حين رأى ذا الثدية بين قتلى الخوارج.

Abū Bakr (Aṣ-Ṣiddeeq) may Allāh be pleased with him, prostrated in gratitude when he received news of the death of Musaylimah the Liar. Similarly, ’Ali, may Allāh be pleased with him, prostrated when he saw Dhu Ath-Thadyah among the dead of the Khawarij.

YASIR QADHI VISITS AUSTRALIA

In response to the inquiry from our local Muslim community newspaper regarding Yasir Qadhi’s visit, I would like to provide some clarity and share my perspective.

Islam is a practical religion that emphasizes abiding by Allah’s limits. It upholds principles such as not oppressing, bearing truthful witness, and refraining from unjust defamation. However, this doesn’t mean Muslims should be complacent when it comes to matters affecting life in this world.

There are times when we must courageously speak the blunt truth, as safeguarding Islam’s core principles takes precedence over secondary concerns. Our relationship with Allah should always be our top priority, even if the truth is hard to accept.

While many Muslims may be excited about Yasir Qadhi’s visit to Australia as a guest speaker for IFAM, it’s essential to exercise discernment. Yasir Qadhi’s teachings have raised concerns, diverging from Orthodox Islam and leaning towards a modernized interpretation that contradicts the beliefs of the early generations of Muslims.

Let’s examine some of the controversial statements made by Yasir Qadhi:

1. Yasir Qadhi has raised doubts about the conventional narrative regarding the preservation of the Qur’an, suggesting potential shortcomings.
2. He has hinted that Omar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) might not perform well in a basic Islamic creed quiz at contemporary Islamic institutions.
3. He has described Islamic legal texts as ‘problematic’ and ‘bizarre’ in the modern context, advocating for discussions on ‘updating’ and ‘modernizing’ these texts.
4. He has questioned the traditional narrative of Yajuj and Majuj, citing conflicts with modern science and geography.
5. Regarding the LGBT topic, he religiously disagrees with it but supports it politically.
6. He believes that calling on the dead is not a major form of polytheism, unless one also believes that what they call upon is a deity.

While context may be important for these statements, they still raise concerns on their face value. Yasir Qadhi has expressed regret and attempted to clarify his positions, but in many cases, he still maintains these beliefs while attributing faults to his delivery and timing.

The impact of this is that the majority of people might not have seen his clarification interviews. It’s incumbent upon us to shed light on these controversial statements, with the hope that individuals will investigate the matter further and make informed decisions based on Islamic sources, setting aside emotions in the process.

Yasir Qadhi’s controversial statements have had another negative consequence, making it more challenging for Muslims to engage with non-Muslims while inviting them to Islam. This has created a pattern where evangelists and atheist preachers use Yasir Qadhi’s remarks about the “holes in the preservation of the Quran” to challenge Muslim preachers who assert that the Quran has remained unaltered since its compilation. They point to Yasir Qadhi’s statements and say, “Your own scholars, like Yasir Qadhi, have said otherwise.”

As long as Yasir Qadhi’s errors, missteps, and hasty decisions remain in the public domain, without him taking the initiative to remove these mistakes from his public channels, and until all of his statements are thoroughly addressed with clarifications that outweigh the initial remarks, Muslims like myself will persist in openly warning others about the potential confusion caused by his statements.

KHAWARIJ AND HADITH

FACTS:

BUKHARI, MUSLIM AND ABU DAWUD NARRATED HADITH BY THE KHAWARIJ….

….BUT WOULD NOT NARRATE FROM THE MURJIAH!
__________

it is interesting that earlier scholars accepted innovators such as al-Khawarij to a degree for several reasons, You have figures such as ‘Imran b. Hittan, another Khariji, whose narrations are used by al-Bukhari, Abu Dawud, and al-Nasa’i.
__________

HADITH ARE OF DIFFERENT GRADES AND LEVELS

Ikramah is in those levels and he is a controversial figure due to his affiliation with the Khawarij. al-Dhahbi mentions this in al-Mizan al-I’tidal, entry #5716 (v.3, p.93).
__________

Abu Dawud said that from the people of desires (i.e. innovators), none are more correct in hadith than the Khawarij

(قال أبو داود : ليس في أهل الأهواء أصح حديثا من الخوارج ، ثم ذكر عمران بن حطان ، وأبا حسان الأعرج.).

__________

IKRAMAH ACCUSED OF BEING FROM THE KHAWARIJ

Al-Bukhari relied upon him because he believed that the Khawarij wouldn’t lie as for them lying is a sin and sin is kufr.

Muslim and Malik mostly avoided ‘Ikramah’s narrations except in a few instances.

_______

WITH ALL THAT SAID:

The Murjiah of the past could not be trusted, so the scholars of the Salaf would not rely on their words and opinions,

so why would you rely on the words of Murjiah today!

This article is in no way in support of the deviant Khawarij sect, their beliefs or understanding, rather it is to highlight that the scholars of the Salaf trusted them with Hadith.

Furthermore it is to show that there is in the Ummah a far worse deviant group that can never be trusted.

CALLING THE LEADERS OUT PUBLICLY

“One day Umar Stood up to deliver a sermon; in it, he said,

‘O people, whoever among you sees any crookedness in me in my character, my deals, my action, then let him straighten out that crookedness.’

A man from the audience called out, “by Allaah, were we to see any crookedness in you, we would have straightened it out with our swords.’

Umar then said, All praise is for Allaah, who has placed in this nation someone who will straighten the crookedness of Umar with his sword.’”

Akhbaar Umar (pg 231,232) and Ar-Riyaadh an Nadirah.

Todays Murjiah / Madkhalis would say this man is a khariji because he spoke up against the ruler, they would say he had no right as only the Ulema can speak, in private of course, with the leaders

When will such people succumb to the truth rather than make un just excuses

THE RULERS ARE NOT THE SAME

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

I have noticed a pattern in the chain of thought of the Murji’ah Madkhali rejects of today,

And you should know it too, and see clearly through thier deception

They liken the leaders over the Muslim lands today who have either replaced the Shariah with democracy or have replaced or amended certain rulings to conform to the international laws of the kuffar, and at times making haram halal, halal haram, allying with the Kuffar and so on, yes the list is long

These Murji’ah/Madkhalis will draw comparisons between todays leaders to the leaders in the time of the Salaf who at times (not all) were oppressors, innovators or evil

They will use to support their arguments the hadith,

“….You should listen and obey the ruler, even if he strikes your back and takes your wealth, even still listen and obey.”
(S‌ah‌i‌h‌ Muslim 1847)

Here lies the deception, even though some of the rulers in the time of the Salaf were oppressive, they were still ruling by the Shariah, it was the law of the land

There is absolutely no comparison between the Tawageet of today who DO NOT rule by the Shariah, and are oppressive,

And with those leaders in the time of the Salaf that WERE ruling by the Shariah, and were oppressive

Those who speak this way and misguided the masses, protecting the Tawageet of today, giving them all the excuses in the world are no different than the Jews who use to implement their shariah on the commoner but did not implement it on their leaders or the rich

Abu Dhar said, “I was with the Prophet ﷺ one day and I heard him saing: “There is something I fear for my Ummah than the Dajjal.”

It was then that I became afraid, so I said: ‘Oh Rasool Allah! Which thing is that?” He ﷺ said, “Misguided and astray scholars.”

Musnad Imam Ahmad, hadith – 21334 aur 21335. Shaykh Shu’ayb al Arna’ut graded it sahih li ghayri (authentic due to corroborating narrations) in his tahqiq of the Musnad Imam Ahmad.

Thawban narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “I only fear for my Ummah from the misguiding A’immah.”

He (narrator) said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There will never cease to be a group from my Ummah manifest upon the truth, they will not be harmed by those who forsake them until Allah’s Decree comes.”

Wake up from the lies!!!

#EXPOSINGFALSEHOOD

THE DEATH OF QARADAWI

Assalamualykum,
Videos are now surfacing of Qadarawis Janazah,

My dear brothers and sisters a huge following of a funeral procession is not an indication of righteousness or some sort of safe portal to Jannnah

In the past many evil people may at times had thousand’s that follow their funeral procession, would that now mean that is an indication of thier righteousness?

Many years ago the Rafidi Khomeini had many followers attending his janazah, and just weeks ago so did the Queen.

Qaradawi having thousands that followed his Janazah does not erase the facts, it does not erase the countless fatwah that he issued containing clear contradictions to the Shari’ah of Al-Mustafa, Muhammad (saw), rather what you do find in them is Istihlal (making halal haram and haram halal) Kufr and the refusal to distance himself and declare the Christians and Jews as Kuffar.

Yet If by this standard, the more people at a Janazah equals a good end or proof of faith, then for those who die and have very little followers attending means the opposite is true, so little to no people is a proof of evil and no faith according to this yard stick,

Then by Allah (swt) I ask those who think this way what would you say about the Janazah of Imam al-Bukhari?

Imam al-Bukhari passed away at the age of 62 years in a small town near Samarkand called Khartank. It is reported that only a handful of people attended his janazah and burial, would you dare say this is a proof against him, authubillah!

This is only one example of many, so contemplate over that before declaring due to the mere number of attendees that someone has indeed been accepted and forgiven by Allah (swt) that knowledge is from the unseen.

We ask Allah(swt) to forgive and shower His mercy upon the righteous God-fearing Ulema of this Ummah that have died

And we ask Allah(swt) to increase the punishment on the evil wicked Ulema who altered and changed the deen of Allah to appease the Kuffar, the Murtaddeen or the tyrannical Kings and apostate Rulers.

Ameen
