REAL TALK

REAL TALK / CUT THE SMALL TALK

Some groups of people promote the idea that we are still in the Meccan period so certain actions don’t need to be done, implemented or applied today, and this is totally wrong,

This is an old argument that has been dealt with on may occasions and the daleel against it are plentiful

The sad reality is there is a new trend with those amongst us who oppose the above idea, but have created for themselves a new period, the ‘Darul Arqum’ period.

This is where 5 to 10 people hide in a house (these days on the net) concentrating on only learning in secret, not coming out to call and teach the people, and will remain their until a Umar comes.

To these people we remind them that yes knowledge is an obligation, but don’t fall into the trap of another group who took it to the extremes, who said,

You can not call to Allah(swt) until you have mastered arabic, mesmerised the entire Quran, books of Hadith, and until you have received your Islamic university certificate

Open Dawah has been established from the time the Messenger (saw) and the companions left Darul Arqum, as for knowledge its never ending, you will never acquire all of it!

It was common among the sahabah that they would learn a bit and call to that which they know, Abu Bakr only knew La-ilaha-ill-allah and he called to it while continuing to learn from the Messenger of Allah

LABEL MAKERS NOT DAEES

This is a reminder that the dawah of the Prophets and Messengers was to the worse of people at their times,

Mushrikeen, oppressors, sodomites, those claiming to be God, the arrogant, the ignorant, the idol worshippers, idol makers, the rich, the poor, lower class, high class, even those in between.

It was never the case that you only recognise their evil, label them as kuffar and continue walking, without calling, preaching and speaking up for good and against evil.

The Prophets and Messengers called all these types of people to Islam with the hopes that those receiving the dawah would leave their kufri ways.

If you don’t understand that you haven’t really understood what enjoining good and forbidding evil is, and you haven’t understood the reason behind Allah (swt) sending the Prophets and Messengers.

It’s one thing to recognise the wrong and another to change it, throwing a label and moving on without challenging the evil, does nothing but shows your weakness and misunderstanding of what it is to be a caller to Islam.

THE SAGA CONTINUES

“…..And they will not stop fighting you until they turn you away from your faith—if they can…..”

Recently some ikhwah have been harassed by certain agencies for the sole reason that they follow our Dawah,

what’s hilarious is they question what was said in the Khutbah? What was said in the Lesson?

Do they not know all our sermons and lessons are either Live or uploaded on social media, we are an open book just as Ibraaheem(as) was an open book,

We are pro Taweed and anti Shirk this is our call and way, we are upon the methodology of the Prophets and Messengers, our guide is the Book of Allah and the authentic narrations of the best of creation, Muhammad (saw), we understand these texts as it was understood by the Sahabah and the Salaf

But just as Ibraaheem(as) was threatened and bullied by his people for highlighting the errors in people’s understanding and belief, it looks like the very same people still exist today

I will go one step further and say, the Munafiqeen are behind all the above, why?

I don’t think these agencies are that ignorant, incapable, incompetent or un aware of our Dawah, to conclude it is a Dawah of the tongue,

but I have no doubt the Munafiqeen from within the community who are too weak to refute us or challenge us have turned the watch dogs on us out of fear people are accepting the dawah accepting the truth, and this is exposing them and shaking the ground beneath them

So to my brethren who are being harassed stay firm, be steadfast, trust in Allah (swt) and fear only Him.

It has been attributed to Ali (ra), who said:

“If you want to see who the people of Haqq (truth) are, then look to where the enemies point their arrows”

There definitely is rightous brothers married to wicked women

This is not new, even some Prophets were married to wicked women,

Take Prophet(as), some angels came down in the form of handsome young men, Lut (عليه السلام), fearing that they will be abused if they were spotted, rushed out to meet them and invited them to his house as his guests.

Only his household was aware, but from his household his wife leaked out the information, Allah (ﷻ) mentions this incident in the Quran in Surah Hud:

“And when Our messengers came to Lut [Lot], he was anxious for them, feeling powerless to protect them, and said, ‘This is truly terrible day’.” [11:77]

Lut (عليه السلام) barricaded himself behind the closed door but when he found the task of holding them back formidable, he said,

“If only I had the strength to stop you or could rely on strong support!” [11:80]

Now let us go to another Prophet Nuh(as), a righteous man married to a wicked woman, with all the proofs and dawah presented by her husband Nuh(as) she still refused, denied, disobeyed and was one of the disbelievers, both stories can be summed up in the ayaah of Allah mentioned in Surah At-Tahrim:

“Allah has given examples of disbelievers: the wives of Nuh [Noah] and Lut [Lot] who married two of Our righteous servants, but betrayed them. Their husbands could not help them against God:  it was said,’Both of you enter the Fire with the others.” [66:10]

My dear brother sometimes we need to make hard decisions, especially when there is children involved, but we need to save ourselves first then our families

Don’t let the love of an individual lead you astray, lead you to compromise and ultimately lead you to the Hell-fire

Allah says:
“There are men who take others besides Allah as equal with Him. They love them as much as they should love Allah. But the believers have more love for Allah.” [Al-Baqara:165]

My dear brothers this is not a ticket to cut and run, but rather a warning that there may come a time when you need to cut those who do not make the cut, but before that TRY, but don’t fall, be on guard

Abu Saed Al Kudri narrated from the Messenger(saw), “…..A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.” (Bukhari)
